Coastal Hotel Bar
This hotel bar is somewhat of an institution. The owner was keen to reinvigorate the space sympathetically; to overhaul the tired décor and cater for more modern tastes whilst not alienating its loyal customer base.
Working to a strict budget, original fixtures and existing furniture - such as the bar, stools and cane-back tub chairs - were restored and reinvigorated. Grosgrain leather, coral and basket weave designs and tongue and groove wall panelling, in various shades of blue, reference the bar’s coastal location.
Soft furnishings and sound absorbing panels were incorporated to address the bar’s acoustic challenges. An indestructible flooring - a sisal-look product - offered durability and further helped to dampen sound in this busy, friendly bar whilst also providing a gently supportive walking surface for more elderly patrons.
